At least one transceiver (16, 44) is configured to receive first communication signal (32, 68) and authenticate presence of the key fob (14, 42) inside vehicle (12, 40) based on first communication signal (32, 68). At least one transceiver (16, 44) is configured to transmit second communication signal (34, 70) to a body control module unit (18, 46). At least one button (20, 22, 50, 52) of key fob (14, 42) is configured to be actuated to transmit third communication signal (36, 72) by transmitter (28, 58) to body control module unit (18, 46) based on second communication signal (34, 70), to switch vehicle (12, 40) between ON-state and OFF-state based on third communication signal (36, 72).
