A controller (102) may be operatively connected to the first sensor (104) and the second sensor (106). The controller (102) may receive and process first data from the first sensor (104) to determine a first foot status and second data from the second sensor (106) to determine a second foot status. The controller (102) may analyze the determined first foot status and the determined second foot status to detect simultaneous presence (206) of both feet on the pedals. The controller (102) may generate and transmit an alert signal (208) based on the detected simultaneous presence, outputting a notification instructing use of only the right foot for operating both pedals.
