A lighting system (200) may be adapted to be disposed of in the longitudinal recessed portion and partially covered by the lower dashboard panel (102). The lighting system (200) may include a mounting flange (203), a light-emitting source (201), and a diffuser. The mounting flange (203) may be adapted to be attached to the upper dashboard panel (101). The light-emitting source (201) may be adapted to be disposed of on the mounting flange (203). The diffuser (202) may be adapted to diffuse light emitted from the light-emitting source (201).
