Abstract: ABSTRACT A VARIABLE VALVE TIMING ASSEMBLY FOR AN INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE The present invention relates to a variable valve timing assembly (100) for an internal combustion engine (10). The variable valve timing assembly (100) comprises at least one camshaft (102), a sprocket (104) rotatably configured on the at least one camshaft (102), a cam disc (108) being configured to transfer rotational motion of the sprocket (104) to the at least one camshaft and an eccentric coupler (110). The eccentric coupler (110) is coupled with the sprocket (104) and the cam disc (108). The eccentric coupler (110) is configured to selectively move in a first direction (F1) and a second direction (F2) such that an axis of rotation of the eccentric coupler (104) is offset with respect to an axis of rotation of the at least one camshaft (102) resulting in rotation of the at least one camshaft (102) at different angular speeds at different points of rotation of the sprocket (104).
