MUMBAI, India, Aug. 10 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411103914 A) filed by University Of Lucknow on December 27, 2024, for A Variable Reduced Pressure Solvent Extraction Apparatus.

Inventor includes Dr. Vidyanand Tiwari.

The application for the patent was published on July 31, 2026, under issue no. 31/2026.

Abstract: ABSTRACT A VARIABLE REDUCED PRESSURE SOLVENT EXTRACTION APPARATUS The present invention relates to the variable reduced pressure solvent extraction apparatus based on gravity to extract phytochemicals without/less thermal degradation. The variable low-pressure /vacuum boiling extraction setup utilizing a natural driving force i.e., gravitational force was made for safer extraction of phytochemicals. This is a simple and low-cost variable reduced pressure solvent extraction apparatus and for low pressure generation using gravity, and variable volume and pressure was used. The apparatus is for boiling/heating in reduced/ low- pressure/vacuum environment that may be used for various purposes.
