Abstract: The present invention relates to a universal external retrofit pre-filtration device for an air purifier comprising a frame (24) and a replaceable dust collection sheet (26). The frame (24) is removably mounted on the air intake portion (12) of the air purifier housing (10) by attachment means comprising magnetic elements, clips, mechanical fasteners, adhesive strips, or hook-andloop fasteners, without modifying the housing (10) or internal components. The dust collection sheet (26), disposed within the frame (24), captures dust, hair, lint, and larger airborne particles before entry into the housing (10). The pre-filtered air passes through the HEPA filter (20) for fine particulate removal and the activated carbon filter (22) for odor and gas absorption, and exits through the air outlet (14). The dust collection sheet (26) is configured for tool-free visual inspection and replacement without opening the housing (10), thereby extending the service life of the HEPA filter (20) and activated carbon filter (22), maintaining optimal airflow, and reducing maintenance costs.
