MUMBAI, India, Sept. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511016017 A) filed by Mahindra & Mahindra Limited on February 24, 2025, for A Tyre Protection System For A Vehicle Slat Conveyor In A Vehicle Assembly Line.

Abstract: The disclosure herein generally relate to a vehicle slat conveyor in a vehicle assembly line and more particularly, to a tyre protection system (100) for vehicle slat conveyor (10) in the vehicle assembly line. The tyre protection system (100) includes a tyre protection member (102) provided adjacent or at exit (10E) of the vehicle slat conveyor (10). The tyre protection member (102) is adapted to prevent damage or tear to tyres (22) of vehicle (20) when the vehicle (20) is moved along the exit (10E) of vehicle slat conveyor (10). The tyre protection system (100) minimizes vehicle rejections caused by lug tears and enhances production efficiency in high- volume vehicle manufacturing system. The tyre protection system (100) actively monitors and adjusts its tyre protection mechanism in accordance with tyre size of vehicle including different tyre lug sizes, and vehicle type. Fig. 2
