MUMBAI, India, Oct. 12 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641119532 A) filed by Indian Institute Of Technology Hyderabad on October 06, 2026, for A Tumor Treating Field (ttf) Device.

Inventors include Ranjith Ramadurai; Avinash Eranki; Manish Chandra Joshi; and Pankaj Warbal.

The application for the patent was published on October 09, 2026, under issue no. 41/2026.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides a TTF device comprising lead-free dielectric materials and novel electrode configurations. The invention discloses a flexible capacitive electrode device comprising a flexible substrate, a conductive electrode layer, calcium copper titanium oxide (CCTO)-based dielectric materials, configured for capacitive coupling of therapeutic alternating electric fields into tumor tissues. The conductive electrode layer comprises a hexagonal electrode configuration configured to improve electric field distribution and spatial uniformity. The invention further discloses a compound dielectric architecture comprising a plurality of smaller dielectric elements configured to improve flexibility and conformability while maintaining therapeutic electric field delivery.
