MUMBAI, India, Sept. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511014909 A) filed by Havells India Limited on February 21, 2025, for A Tripping Mechanism For A Circuit Breaker.
Inventors include Singh, Amritpal; and Parida, Gyanaranjan.
The application for the patent was published on September 25, 2026, under issue no. 39/2026.
Abstract: Present disclosure relates to a tripping mechanism [200] comprising: a rotatable tripping latch [204] with a first surface [204a], and a second surface [204b], a tripping half-shaft [206], a cam element [208] having a first roller [240], and a second roller [242], and a kinematic chain. Tripping half-shaft [206] is positioned in a non- actuated condition with second surface [204b]. Kinematic chain comprises: a closing link element [210], a toggling link element [212], a connecting link element [214], and a pole lever [216], kinematically coupled to each other and to cam element [208]. A set of forces F1 and F2 acting through cam element [208] maintain kinematic chain in a toggled state. Actuation of tripping half-shaft [206] causes rotation of tripping latch [204], thereby permitting rotation of cam element [208] and movement of kinematic chain from toggled to non-toggled state, corresponding to a tripped state of tripping mechanism [200]. Refer to Figure 11B.
