MUMBAI, India, July 13 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611046550 A) filed by Indian Institute Of Technology Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi on April 11, 2026, for A Transparent-Film For Daylight Radiative Cooling And A Method Of Fabrication Thereof.

Abstract: The present invention provides a transparent-film for daylight radiative cooling and a method of fabrication thereof. The present invention provides the sustainable, cost-effective and highly efficient transparent-film for daylight radiative cooling that is formed of nanoparticles dispersed in a polymer matrix with an optimized concentration and thickness that enables passive cooling without compromising optical clarity or visibility. The present invention eliminates the requirement of energy input for cooling the space and significantly changes the idea of window cooling, including automobiles and building windows by employing natural polymers or raw materials.
