MUMBAI, India, Nov. 2 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611065049 A) filed by Indian Institute Of Technology Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi on May 23, 2026, for A Transformerless Grid-Connected Hybrid Power Converter System.
Inventors include Rajat Kumar Keshari; and Rajeev Kumar Singh.
The application for the patent was published on October 30, 2026, under issue no. 44/2026.
Abstract: The present invention provides a transformerless grid-connected hybord power converter system (100) that comprises an impedance-based voltage boosting network (102) including a first inductor (L1), a second inductor (L2), a first capacitor (C1), a second capacitor (C1), diode arrangement and configured to increase an input voltage of the photovoltaic source, a switching network (104) comprising semiconductor switches configured to operate in shoot-through states, power transfer states, and zero states to regulate power transfer, a AC output interface configured to supply grid-compatible AC power to an AC load (106) and/or an electrical utility grid and said DC output interface configured to simultaneously supply regulated DC power to a DC load (107), a control unit is configured to generate pulse-width modulation switching signals for controlling operation of the switching network, synchronize the AC output with the electrical utility grid, and regulate simultaneous delivery of AC power and DC power.
