Abstract: The present invention relates to a train accident-avoidance system designed to prevent railway collisions through real-time monitoring, wireless communication, and automated braking. The system (100) comprises an RFID reader (101) configured to detect RFID track number plate tags (102) for identifying the train’s track position. A speed sensor (103) continuously measures train velocity, while a microcontroller (104) processes inputs from the RFID reader (101), speed sensor (103), and LoRa device (105), consisting of a transmitter (106) and receiver (107). The microcontroller (104) compares the detected track ID with track information received from nearby trains via LoRa communication to identify trains on the same track. Upon detecting a potential collision, the microcontroller activates the control circuitry (108), which drives the rail brake system (109) to apply emergency braking. The invention provides an automated, low-cost, and scalable solution for improving railway safety, reducing human error, and ensuring reliable train-to-train and train-to-control communication.
