Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a topical emulgel lotion composition and a process for preparation thereof. The composition comprises a nanoemulsion system containing curcumin, eucalyptus oil, aloe vera gel, flaxseed extract, glycerine, vitamin E, rose water, squalene, Tween 80, Carbopol, and hydroxypropyl methylcellulose (HPMC). The process comprises preparation of a nanoemulsion, incorporation of gelling agents, and formation of a stable emulgel lotion suitable for topical application. The composition exhibits nanosized droplets with uniform distribution, a skin-compatible pH, and physicochemical characteristics suitable for topical administration. Characterization studies including Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR), Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC), and X-ray Diffraction (XRD) demonstrate compatibility among formulation components and indicate improved dispersion of curcumin within the formulation matrix. The disclosed composition and process provide a stable topical emulgel lotion formulation for cosmetic and dermatological applications.
