Abstract: ABSTRACT A TOOTHBRUSH INTEGRATED WITH A DENTIFRICE DISPENSING SYSTEM AND A TONGUE-CLEANING ASSEMBLY The present invention relates to a toothbrush having an integrated dentifrice dispensing system and a tongue-cleaning assembly. The toothbrush comprises a handle defining an internal reservoir for storing dentifrice, a dispensing assembly, a fluid communication pathway extending to the head of the toothbrush, and outlets provided in the head region configured to dispense dentifrice onto bristles during actuation. The outlets configured to open during dispensing of dentifrice and automatically close after dispensing a pre-determined quantity of dentifrice. The invention further comprises a tongue-cleaning assembly housed within the handle and configured to be selectively deployed and retracted. The invention also provides a method of performing oral hygiene by dispensing dentifrice onto the bristles to enable brushing and tongue cleaning.
