Abstract: The present invention discloses a thiophene-functionalized borosiloxane polymer comprising a Schiff base intermediate obtained from the reaction of thiophene-2- carboxaldehyde and (3-aminopropyl)triethoxysilane (APTES) and a borosiloxane network comprising Si-O-B and Si-O-Si linkages, and a method of preparation thereof. The present invention also discloses an adhesive formulation comprising the thiophene-functionalized borosiloxane polymer and an epoxy resin, wherein the adhesive formulation shows improved thermal stability and adhesive strength.
