MUMBAI, India, Sept. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202521024521 A) filed by Tata Motors Limited on March 19, 2025, for A Thermal Management System For A Battery Pack In A Vehicle.

Inventors include Sarvesh Srivastava; Kiran Agalawe; Prasanna Nagarhalli; and Mahendra Wadje.

The application for the patent was published on September 25, 2026, under issue no. 39/2026.

Abstract: A thermal management system 100 for a battery pack 200 is disclosed. The system 100 includes a base plate 102 and a plurality of slots 112 formed on the base plate 102, where plurality of slots 112 is defined with a first profile 150a. At least one thermal conductive pipe 106 is provided. The thermal conductive pipe 106 includes a first section 106a a second section 106b defined with a second profile 150b. A cooling assembly 300 is coupled with the second surface 102b of the base plate 102. The cooling assembly 300 includes a primary refrigerant channel 114 defined with a third profile 150c, and a plurality of secondary refrigerant channels 116 extending from the primary refrigerant channel 114. The second profile 150b is positioned on the first profile 150a of the plurality of slots 112 adjacent to the third profile 150c of the primary refrigerant channel 114.
