Abstract: The present invention discloses a testing tunnel system (100) for evaluating one or more sensors (208) performance to be mounted on autonomous vehicle. The system (100) comprises a tunnel-shaped structure (102) simulating real-world tunnel environments, a primary moveable platform mounted with the sensors (208) under test, and a plurality of secondary moveable targets (108) replicating traffic vehicles. The tunnel-shaped structure (102) is dimensionally adjustable and comprises a plurality of belts (112) engaged with a plurality of rollers (110), forming the walls of the tunnel-shaped structure (102). The plurality of belts (112) are mounted with a plurality of reflective surface patches (114). The plurality of secondary moveable targets (108) comprises an electromagnetic wave delay simulator (212). The system further comprises a control unit (202) configured to generates environments by adjusting the tunnel-shaped structure (102), activates sensors (208) to transmit incident signals and to receive reflected signals corresponding to the incident signals, and analyzes reflected signals to assess sensors performance.
