Abstract: The present subject matter relates to a temperature-controlled photocatalytic reactor. The temperature-controlled photocatalytic reactor for photocatalytic conversion of Carbon Dioxide (CO2). The photocatalytic reactor includes a quartz tube having a first open end (704a) and a second open end (704b). The photocatalytic reactor includes a first stainless steel flange (706a) attached to the first open end (704a), and a second stainless steel flange (706b) attached to the second open end (704b). The photocatalytic reactor includes a stainless steel tube (710) extending longitudinally along a central axis of the quartz tube, having a first end (710a) and a second end (710b) coupled to the first stainless steel flange (706a) and the second stainless steel flange (706b). The stainless steel tube (710) provides structural support and defines, with the quartz tube, an annular reaction chamber configured to receive a photocatalyst and a reactant gas. The stainless steel tube (710) is adapted to circulate a cooling fluid therethrough for controlling a temperature of the photocatalytic reactor under sunlight. The photocatalytic reactor includes a gas inlet pipe (712a) and a gas outlet pipe (712b) connected to the first stainless steel flange (706a) and the second stainless steel flange (706b). The gas inlet pipe (712a) and the gas outlet pipe (712b) are in fluid communication with the annular reaction chamber for introducing the reactant gas for the photocatalytic reduction and removing one or more products produced through the photocatalytic reduction.
