The application for the patent was published on October 02, 2026, under issue no. 40/2026.
Abstract: The present disclosure proposes a taper-actuated adjustable mandrel tool (100) configured to form torsion springs of different diameters, thereby improving spring- forming repeatability, enhancing operational efficiency, and reducing dependence on multiple fixed-diameter mandrels. The taper-actuated adjustable mandrel tool (100) comprises a first assembly (102A) having a first connecting bar (106A), plurality of first flexible members (108A), a first tapered member (112A), and a first holding member (116A), and a second assembly (102B) having a second connecting bar (106B), plurality of second flexible members (108B), a second tapered member (112B), and a second holding member (116B). The taper-actuated adjustable mandrel tool (100) enables stable positioning and controlled guiding of a spring wire (10) during coiling, thereby reducing wire slippage and improving consistency of spring geometry.
