The application for the patent was published on July 10, 2026, under issue no. 28/2026.

Abstract: A tank (101) with a diffusion barrier for onboard storage of hydrogen gas on a vehicle is manufactured using steel. The steel includes C- 0.35-0.45%, Si- 0.1-0.35%, Mn- 0.45-0.7%, S- 0.05% max, P-0.05% max, Ni- 1.30-1.80%, Cr- 0.90-1.4%, Mo-0.2-0.35%. Further, the tank (101) has the burst pressure is 500-600 bar, and the working pressure is 300-400 bar. Further, the tank (101), has the required yield strength of the tank (101) is 1350-1550 MPa and ultimate tensile strength is 1750-2000 MPa. Further, the tank (101) includes a diffusion barrier applied on an inner surface of the tank (101). The thickness of the diffusion barrier ranges between 10-15 microns. The diffusion barrier is configured to avoid embrittlement of the tank (101) by chemical reaction with stored gas. Reference Figure. 1
