Abstract: The present invention relates to a system comprising a latching mechanism (1000) and a locking mechanism (100) for securing a movable member, particularly a cut- out door (2) of a launch vehicle. The latching mechanism comprises one or more linkage assemblies, shaft adaptors (10), adaption shafts (11), and a plurality of latching elements (12) configured for simultaneous engagement with corresponding counterpart elements (14). The locking mechanism includes a base structure (4), a lock adaptor (22), a centre hub (5), a rotatable shaft (18), and a slider assembly comprising a lock slider (19), a lock pin (20), a biasing member (21), a knob pin (24), and a knob (23) for selective locking and unlocking. The rotatable shaft (18) includes diametrically opposite slots supporting the lock pin (20), providing synchronized multi- point latching, positive locking, double-shear load distribution, and simplified actuation.
