Abstract: The present invention relates to a system (100) for tractor-driven sugarcane harvesting. The system (100) includes a tractor (2), a height adjustable unit (3), a sugarcane cutting unit (4), a separate engine (5), a double clutch system (BB), a cleaning unit (15) and a PTO (Power Take-Off) shaft (20). The height adjustable unit (3) raises the tractor (2) to define an installation space beneath the tractor (2) for receiving the sugarcane cutting unit (4). The separate engine (5) mechanically drives the base cutting device (12) and the chopping device (14) independently of the tractor (2). The double clutch system (BB) enables the tractor (2) and the separate engine (5) to be selectively operated independently or simultaneously, thereby providing a detachable tractor-mounted sugarcane harvester.
