The application for the patent was published on June 19, 2026, under issue no. 25/2026.

Abstract: Faculty Development Programmes (FOPs) have become a vital component in the process of upgrading the pedagogical and assessment competencies of in-service teachers in line with Competency-Based Education (CBE). FOP delivery systems are categorised into two types namely Content-Centric and Learner-Centric systems. Pre-designed module delivery, fixed lecture schedules, and uniform content for all teachers are considered as Content-Centric FOPs which are essentially rigid and are relatively unresponsive to teacherĀ· heterogeneity, whereas teacher-perception surveys, adaptive module sequencing, and self-paced delivery are considered Learner- Centric FOPs that can vary over a period of time due to factors like teaching experience, age band, subject specialisation, and student level handled. The present Invention relates to a system for designing and development of Teacher's perception scale and CBE Faculty Development Programme Delivery System (300). The proposed system is classified into two modules. The first module deals with the assessment of teacher perception, knowledge, and readiness towards CBE in a digital environment (200) followed by adaptive CBE Faculty Development Programme module delivery and pre-post effectiveness measurement in the second module (100). The process of assessment involves the exploration of teacher perception features through a 19-item, 5-construct Teacher Perception Scale (TPS) instrument, matching those extracted perception features with at least one of the innumerable teacher profiles present in the knowledge base (300). Identification of the top-K teachers eligible for FOP intervention is achieved by using a Teacher's perception scale and method (203, 204) of operations thereafter Item Analysis, Cronbach's Alpha (a), Principal Component Analysis (PCA), Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA) with Varimax rotation, One-Way Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) with Tukey HSD, Pearson Correlation, and Fisher Z Transformation. Combined Teacher Perception scale along with Pre test - post test assessment gives remarkable results when compared to state of the art FOP delivery module.
