MUMBAI, India, Nov. 2 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202621104248 A) filed by Indian Institute Of Technology Gandhinagar on August 29, 2026, for A System For Simulating Wind Loads For Structural Assessment Of Tall Buildings.

Inventors include Basu, Dhiman; and Panchal, Aniket.

The application for the patent was published on October 30, 2026, under issue no. 44/2026.

Abstract: ABSTRACT A SYSTEM FOR SIMULATING WIND LOADS FOR STRUCTURAL ASSESSMENT OF TALL BUILDINGS The present disclosure envisages a system (100) for simulating wind loads for structural assessment of tall buildings. The system (100) comprises a repository (102) storing wind assessment statistics of a plurality of buildings. An extractor (106) extracts wind pressure coefficients therefrom. An analyzer (108) decomposes the wind pressure coefficients into mean and fluctuating components and evaluates a standard deviation, a power spectral density (PSD) function (118) and a lagged coherency. A calibrator (128) calibrates and integrates these into a stored calibrated model. An input module (104) receives an input building geometric ratio, terrain, target locations and a reference PSD. An interpolation module (130) interpolates the calibrated model to obtain values at the target locations. An output module (132) generates statistically consistent wind pressure coefficient time histories (124) and computes dynamic wind load time histories (126).
