MUMBAI, India, Nov. 2 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641124619 A) filed by Krupanidhi Degree College; and Mamatha N on October 17, 2026, for A System For Sensor Fusion-Based Automated Hotel Room Readiness Verification And Turnover Management.

Inventor includes Mamatha N.

The application for the patent was published on October 30, 2026, under issue no. 44/2026.

Abstract: The present invention discloses an automated sensor fusion-based hotel room readiness verification and turnover management system. The system comprises a sensor assembly acquiring signals from a millimetre-wave radar, passive infrared occupancy sensor, VOC air quality sensor, access-state sensor, and UHF RFID smart-tag arrangement, operatively coupled to a housekeeping turnover context identification subsystem fusing staff credentials and property management system room state. A smart-tagged article verification subsystem confirms linen replacement through RFID departure-arrival sequence detection. An air quality gating subsystem evaluates VOC conditions against adaptive thresholds requiring stabilization before gate release. A mandatory gate control subsystem independently applies air quality, linen- cycle integrity, and enclosure gates overriding the aggregate Room Readiness Score. A weighted scoring subsystem combines normalized linen, air quality, housekeeping coverage, and enclosure indicators. A property management communication subsystem transmits Guest Ready status only upon all gate passage, providing improved room verification, enhanced guest safety, and automated hospitality turnover management.
