Abstract: The present invention discloses a system for semi-automated cashew nut deshelling and a method thereof. The system (100) integrates a synchronized nut-feeding mechanism with a pedal-operated multi-slot cutting assembly. The system (100) comprises a hopper (102) for bulk loading of raw nuts, at least one cylindrical feeding roller (202a, 202b) having cashew-shaped cavities (204) for controlled single-nut delivery and guiding channels for orienting the nuts into a multi-slot cutting tray (106). A pedal (112) actuated crank-slider linkage drives vertically aligned disc-shaped cutting blades (108) to simultaneously split multiple shells along the natural seam. A spring resets the vertical cutting blades (108) after each stroke, while a dual-compartment collector tray separates kernels and shells. The system (100) provides improved throughput, reduced kernel breakage, user safety, and low-cost semi-automation suitable for rural and industrial cashew-processing environments.
