Abstract: A SYSTEM FOR REGULATING OPERATION OF A CRANE AND A METHOD THEREOF The present invention relates to a system and method for regulating operation of a crane. The system comprises a control unit communicatively coupled to one or more sensors (21, 22, 31, 41), a spool unit (40), and an emergency control mechanism (70) associated with the crane (210). The control unit is configured to compute rate of spooling of the payload (50) during transport of the payload between a receiving station and a destination position. Further, the control unit being configured to compare the rate of spooling of the payload with at least one of an input value or a predefined threshold value to deduce an uncontrolled lowering condition of the payload by the crane. Following which, the system being configured to actuate the emergency control mechanism of the crane, to regulate at least one of the rate of spooling or movement of the payload towards the destination position Fig. 1.
