The system(100) comprises a chassis(102) to house and support various components; a battery source 104 to supply power to components; a sensor module(106) consisting of a plurality of infrared (IR) sensors(106a) to emit and detect infrared signals and an ultrasonic sensor(106b) to emit and detect a sound wave; a microcontroller(108) to receive an input signal, process received data and generate a control signals for navigation and obstacle avoidance; a motor driver(110) to receive the control signal and regulate the left DC motors(110a) and the right DC motors(110b); a servo motor(112) to rotate ultrasonic sensor(106b) to enable direction scanning of the AGV surroundings for obstacle detection.
