MUMBAI, India, Oct. 19 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611084482 A) filed by Mr. Mohit Kumar; and Mr. Yashveer Singh Rathore on July 09, 2026, for A System For Front-End Airflow Energy Recovery And Supplementary Battery Charging In Electric Vehicles.
Inventors include Mr. Mohit Kumar; and Mr. Yashveer Singh Rathore.
The application for the patent was published on October 16, 2026, under issue no. 42/2026.
Abstract: The invention relates to electric vehicle energy recovery systems and discloses a through-flow NEUMS engine (102) mounted in a front bumper or grille region to capture frontal ram air admitted through an air inlet (101), channel the airflow through an enclosure (401), and drive a horizontally placed turbine system (402) coupled by a main shaft (403) and a 4-stage wind turbine to a generator (404), preferably a permanent magnet generator, for charging a battery pack. Technical advancement resides in recovering otherwise dissipated aerodynamic drag energy by a compact front-end installation using a centrifugal 4 stage arrangement with speed-dependent engagement of Turbine 1 (301), Turbine 2 (302), Turbine 3 (305), and Turbine 4 (308) through centrifugal clutches (304, 307, 310), thereby improving usable electrical output across vehicle speed ranges. The system is principally used to generate supplemental electrical energy during vehicle motion.
