Abstract: The present invention relates to a system (100) and a method (400) for charging a vehicle (10). The system (100) has a charging station (102) having one or more charging connectors (104) to provide a charging current to a battery pack (106) of the vehicle (10). The charging station (102) is configured to support a plurality of charging communication protocols. The system (100) has a first controller (108) to determine a charging power demand of the vehicle (10) and one or more pre-defined parameters for charging the vehicle (10). The system (100) has a plurality of second controllers to: receive the charging power demand and the one or more pre-defined parameters, determine the charging current, and enable the one or more charging connectors (104) for providing the charging current to the battery pack (106) for charging.
