MUMBAI, India, Sept. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611100410 A) filed by Chitkara University on August 19, 2026, for A System For Cervical Tissue Analysis Using Bioimpedance And Optical Sensing.
Inventors include Vaibhav Narang; Bhanu Sharma; and Navjot Kaur.
The application for the patent was published on September 25, 2026, under issue no. 39/2026.
Abstract: The present invention a portable cervical tissue screening system (100) comprises a handheld probe, a sterile disposable probe tip (101), a multi-frequency electrical sensing subsystem (110), and a multi-wavelength optical sensing subsystem (115). A positioning guide (102), pressure sensor (123), temperature sensor (124), opaque optical shroud (126), and tip identification interlock (128) establish repeatable tissue coupling. A synchronized acquisition timer (131) triggers electrical and optical measurements from the cervical region. A microcontroller or system-on-chip (106) performs artifact rejection through an on-device preprocessing module (104), forms multimodal feature vectors, and applies a dual-input transformer model (400) having gated cross-modal fusion and confidence calibration. A safety control subsystem (103) enforces isolation, current limiting, optical exposure limits, and hardware shutdown. The system outputs a normal, abnormal, or indeterminate screening category with confidence through a user interface (107), while a reporting module (300) stores encrypted measurement records for point-of-care referral support without independently establishing a medical diagnosis.
