MUMBAI, India, July 24 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202621063736 A) filed by Ramdeobaba University, Nagpur; Shri Ramdeobaba College Of Engineering And; and Hardas, Bhalchandra M on May 20, 2026, for A System For Automated Pressure-Sensing Adaptive Mattress.
Inventor includes Hardas, Bhalchandra M.
The application for the patent was published on July 17, 2026, under issue no. 29/2026.
Abstract: The present invention relates to a system (100) for automated pressure-sensing adaptive mattress. The system (100) includes a mattress (10), a plurality of pressure sensors (20), a signal conditioning and multiplexer unit (30), a control unit (40), an actuation module (50). The control unit (40) is configured to select one or more corresponding air bladder segments and one or more adjacent or opposite air bladder segments from the plurality of air bladder segments (52), and to actuate the air pump (54) and the solenoid valve bank (56) through the air pump driver (60) and the valve driver (58) to selectively inflate or deflate the selected air bladder segments, thereby making selected parts of the mattress (10) softer or firmer to redistribute pressure away from the one or more high-pressure zones. The control unit (40) is configured to wait for a predetermined re-evaluation period after actuation.
