MUMBAI, India, Oct. 12 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641119196 A) filed by Sr University on October 05, 2026, for A System For Automated Crop Disease Monitoring And Classification.
Inventors include Gundagani Mahendraswaroop; and Dr Sudha Rani V.
The application for the patent was published on October 09, 2026, under issue no. 41/2026.
Abstract: Disclosed herein is a system (100) for automated crop disease monitoring and classification that comprises an Image Acquisition Unit (102), a Storage Unit (104), a Processing Unit (106), and an Output Interface (124). The Processing Unit (106) comprises a Pre-processing Module (108), Feature Processing Module (110), Lesion Analysis Module (112), Spatial Analysis Module (114), Feature Fusion Module (116), Reliability Assessment Module (118), Disease Classification Module (120), and Disease Severity Estimation Module (122). The system (100) processes crop leaf images to generate feature representations, analyze lesion characteristics and spatial relationships, fuse visual and spatial information, assess classification reliability, classify diseases, and estimate disease severity. The system thereby facilitates automated, accurate, and reliable crop leaf disease monitoring under varying imaging conditions.
