Abstract: ABSTRACT A System for Automated Compliance Analysis of Website Cookie Consent Mechanisms The present invention relates to an artificial intelligence-driven system and method for auto-mated detection, classification, and compliance evaluation of website cookie consent mechanisms. A web crawler loads a target website under selected regional and language settings and captures webpage artifacts. A multimodal consent detection module identifies consent interfaces using computer vision and natural language processing. A cookie extraction and classification module captures cookies before and after simulated consent actions and classifies the cookies by category, purpose, necessity, persistence, and compliance relevance. An interaction simulation module performs accept, reject, and customizable consent scenarios using human-like behavioral patterns and bot-handling techniques. A dark pattern detection module identifies misleading labels, false hierarchy, pre-selected options, obstruction, hidden rejection paths, and consent-action mismatches. A compliance scoring module generates risk-weighted scores based on cookie behavior, interface evidence, dark pattern severity, and regional regulatory alignment. A report generation and human validation module produces evidence-backed reports and stores reviewer corrections for continuous model refinement. The invention enables scalable, auditable, and adaptive compliance analysis of website cookie consent mechanisms across multiple websites and jurisdictions.
