MUMBAI, India, Oct. 5 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202541030411 A) filed by Mahindra And Mahindra Limited on March 28, 2025, for A System For An Electromagnetic Parking For A Vehicle And A Method Thereof.

Inventors include Kumud Mittal; and Madras Venugopal Shankar.

The application for the patent was published on October 02, 2026, under issue no. 40/2026.

Abstract: ABSTRACT A SYSTEM FOR AN ELECTROMAGNETIC PARKING FOR A VEHICLE AND A METHOD THEREOF The system comprises an electromagnetic assembly (102) that generates a modulated electromagnetic field, a sensor module (104) that detects vehicle operating parameters, and a controller (106) that processes these signals to determine specific driving conditions. Upon detection of a parking or braking event, the controller activates the electromagnetic assembly (102) to generate a repulsive or attractive force proportional to the vehicle’s proximity to a conductive surface. This enables controlled braking assistance, reducing reliance on traditional friction-based braking systems. The system (100) also includes a driver feedback module (112) that provides real-time haptic feedback, such as steering resistance or brake pedal resistance. The system is structured for interaction with conductive surfaces in parking environments or speed breakers. This technology enhances vehicle stability, reduces wear on mechanical components, and improves overall driving safety.
