MUMBAI, India, Sept. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641110885 A) filed by Krupanidhi Degree College; and Neethu P Chandran on September 16, 2026, for A System For Ai-Based Predictive Cleaning And Infection Risk Control In Healthcare.

Inventor includes Neethu P Chandran.

The application for the patent was published on September 25, 2026, under issue no. 39/2026.

Abstract: The present invention discloses an AI and sensor-based predictive cleaning, disinfection, and infection risk control system for healthcare facilities. The system comprises a data acquisition module collecting real-time data from sensors, cameras, staff devices, and healthcare information systems, operatively coupled to an AI infection-risk assessment engine generating zone-wise infection-risk scores from patient footfall, occupancy, infectious patient status, surface-touch frequency, biomedical waste detection, and environmental deviation. A predictive cleaning scheduler dynamically generates risk-based tasks overriding fixed schedules. A task allocation module assigns tasks to housekeeping staff or robotic devices including UV-C robots. A cleaning verification module confirms completion through QR scanning, RFID tracking, geofencing, and AI image comparison, with re-cleaning alerts generated upon incomplete tasks. A feedback learning module optimizes future scheduling, providing improved infection-control, enhanced compliance, and reduced healthcare-associated infection risk.
