MUMBAI, India, Sept. 22 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641110601 A) filed by Krupanidhi Degree College; and Pavani Avuthu on September 15, 2026, for A System For Ai And Sensor Based Dynamic Expiry Prediction For Packaged Products.

Inventor includes Pavani Avuthu.

The application for the patent was published on September 18, 2026, under issue no. 38/2026.

Abstract: The present invention discloses an AI and sensor-based dynamic expiry prediction and alert system for packaged food, pharmaceutical, and medical products. The system comprises a product identification module identifying products via barcode, QR code, RFID, or OCR, operatively coupled to a multi-sensor array monitoring temperature, humidity, gas emission, volatile organic compounds, ethylene, ammonia, carbon dioxide, oxygen, and package integrity. An AI prediction module analyses product information and sensor data using machine learning and neural network models to generate a dynamic expiry status. A Dynamic Expiry Risk Score is calculated from weighted multi-parameter inputs and classifies products as safe, caution, near expiry, spoilage risk, or unsafe. Alerts are generated through LED, buzzer, display, mobile application, and cloud dashboard. A recommendation module provides corrective instructions. A product-specific degradation database enables category- specific modeling, providing improved safety prediction, reduced product wastage, enhanced consumer protection, and early warning across food, pharmaceutical, and medical storage applications.
