The IC engine (100) further includes a valve actuating mechanism (102) configured in the cylinder head (105), the valve actuating mechanism (102) including at least one finger follower shaft (110), a plurality of finger followers (112) configured with the finger follower shaft (110), the plurality of finger followers (112) is configured to selectively move the plurality of intake valves (106) between an open position and a closed position, and at least one inlet camshaft (115) rotatably coupled to a crankshaft of the IC engine (100), and including a plurality of cam lobes (116).
