Abstract: ABSTRACT A system and process for producing bioactive powder from green tea biomass The present invention relates to a system (100) and process for producing bioactive powder from green tea biomass. Fresh green tea leaves are crushed in a cold-press screw extruder (1) at low temperature to yield raw juice and wet bagasse. The raw juice is clarified through a two-stage micro-filtration unit (2), collected in a buffer tank (3), and pumped by a peristaltic pump (4) to a two-fluid atomisation nozzle (5) fed with compressed air from a compressor (6). The nozzle (5) sprays the juice as a fine mist into a vacuum dehydration chamber (7) maintained under continuous vacuum by an exhaust pump (8), while a process air heating loop (9) supplies warm air to induce substantially instantaneous flash evaporation. A cyclonic powder collection unit (10) recovers a highly soluble powder retaining over 94% EGCG without thermal degradation, thereby eliminating organic solvents and cryogenic fluids.
