Abstract: The present invention provides a Rhetorical Obfuscation Analysis Model (ROAM) for detecting, classifying, and quantifying rhetorical obfuscation in artificial intelligence-related discourse. The model receives an AI-related textual corpus and processes the corpus through a computational pipeline comprising corpus construction, text processing and normalisation, terminology extraction and discourse vocabulary analysis, metaphor pattern recognition and rhetorical analysis, discourse network mapping and power analysis, and comprehensive power analysis and synthesis. The model classifies detected rhetorical patterns into four fixed regimes comprising Dematerialization, Moralization, Anthropomorphism, and Technocratic Neutralization, with contextual pattern indicators adapted to the corpus under analysis. The model further analyses pattern frequency, contextual usage, co-occurrence, rhetorical function, and discourse relationships, and generates an Obfuscation Score and a Discursive Silence Index for quantifying detected rhetorical obfuscation and systematic absence of selected material references. The resulting analyses are synthesised to generate an interpretive profile of the obfuscation architecture of the analysed discourse. FIG 01.
