The reactor unit (100) comprises a hollow housing (110) comprising a top side and a bottom side, a detachable lid (115) mounted on the top of the hollow housing (110), a base unit (120) affixed/fixedly attached to the bottom side of the hollow housing (110), a mesh plate (125) mounted on the base unit (120). The system (1000) comprises a heater cum blower unit (130) connected to the hollow housing (110) via a hollow pipe (135), a gas analyser (140) connected to the opening of the detachable lid (115) via a gas vent (145) and a plurality of thermocouples (150) positioned vertically along the hollow housing (110).
