MUMBAI, India, Sept. 22 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641102062 A) filed by Manipal Academy Of Higher Education on August 24, 2026, for A System And Method For Subject-Independent Behavioural Risk Sensing And Deviation Validation.

Inventors include Pavan Kumar Agrawal; Divya Rao; Anoop B. N.; and Samir Kumar Praharaj.

The application for the patent was published on September 18, 2026, under issue no. 38/2026.

Abstract: A behavioural risk sensing system (100) for generating a behavioural risk output for a user is disclosed. The system comprises a processor (113), a memory (115), a sensor acquisition unit (101) comprising a trajectory sensing unit (101A) and a motion sensing unit (101B), a physiological sensing unit (105) comprising a heart rate sensor (107) and a heart rate variability unit (109), a baseline reference module (103), and a user interface (117). The processor acquires trajectory, motion, and physiological information, and determines one or more behavioural deviations by comparing the information with baseline information stored in the baseline reference module. The behavioural deviations are validated using information obtained from a plurality of sensing modalities over a plurality of observation periods, to generate a behavioural risk output, provided through the user interface.
