Abstract: ABSTRACT A System and Method for Smart ICU Monitoring and Predictive Patient Deterioration Detection The present disclosure relates to a system and method for smart ICU monitoring and predictive patient deterioration detection. The system includes a physiological data acquisition module configured to acquire physiological, biochemical, therapeutic, and environmental data from a plurality of monitoring devices and healthcare information systems. The processor executes a multimodal physiological correlation engine to detect dynamic interrelationships among multiple organ systems and a progressive organ stress quantification module to determine cumulative physiological burden and indicators of deterioration progression. Additionally, the system comprises an adaptive clinical context reasoning module for diagnosis-specific and treatment-specific information, a therapeutic response validation module for assessing treatment effectiveness, and a deterioration trajectory prediction module for predicting future clinical instability. A patient stability index generation module and dynamic intervention recommendation engine deliver actionable clinical insights and prioritized recommendations. This technology enables early detection of patient deterioration, reduces alarm fatigue, increases monitoring accuracy, augments clinical decision support and allows for proactive intervention in critical care environments.
