MUMBAI, India, Sept. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202631112887 A) filed by Brainware University on September 21, 2026, for A System And Method For Secure Ai-Assisted Examination And Adaptive Knowledge Verification.
Inventors include Mr. Alankar Das Dalal; and Dr. Ranadip Kundu.
The application for the patent was published on September 25, 2026, under issue no. 39/2026.
Abstract: The invention relates to secure computer-implemented examination systems enabling controlled use of artificial intelligence while preserving examination integrity. The system (100) comprises an attested examination terminal (120), device and software attestation verifier (130), signed examination-policy manifest (140), AI access- control gateway (150), cryptographic interaction-provenance engine (170), answer-provenance correlation engine (190), adaptive knowledge-verification engine (200), challenge-response controller (210), verifiable examination-record generator (220), and protected evidence store (230). Candidate-AI interactions are recorded in a tamper-evident provenance chain and correlated with submitted response segments. Selected response segments are subjected to candidate-specific verification challenges under controlled resource conditions. The resulting examination record cryptographically binds the submitted response, provenance state, verification challenge, candidate response, attestation state, and applicable policy. The invention provides auditable, tamper-evident, and policy-controlled AI-assisted examination suitable for universities and other assessment environments. FIG. 1 is the representative figure.
