MUMBAI, India, Sept. 22 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611090902 A) filed by Graphic Era Deemed To Be University on July 27, 2026, for A System And Method For Predictive Cognitive Load Management Using Cognitive Digital Twins And State Bus.

Inventors include Dhruv Aggarwal; and Mohd. Rehan Ghazi.

The application for the patent was published on September 18, 2026, under issue no. 38/2026.

Abstract: The invention relates to operating-system-level human-computer interaction analytics and cognitive load management. Disclosed is an end-to-end system and method in which a Behavioral Signal Collector intercepts keystroke streams, pointer movements and clicks, scroll behavior, window-focus transitions, and application events, excluding cameras, wearables, eye-trackers, and medical sensors; event streams are segmented into sliding time windows of 0.5 to 5 seconds, processed by a Cross- Modal Entropy Engine, and fused into a Micro-Hesitation Quotient capturing sub-second behavioral entropy, micro-latency, and hesitation. A self-supervised Cognitive Digital Twin Engine models expected context-conditioned interaction behavior, and a Twin Deviation Analyzer derives a Twin Deviation Score. A Predictive Cognitive Load Engine forecasts overload probability and future load trajectory, enabling an Explainable Cognitive Engine, an Adaptive User Interface Orchestrator, and a Cognitive State Bus to provide rationale, trigger interface adaptations, and publish cognitive state descriptors to third-party applications and services.
