Abstract: A System and Method for Physical-Presence-Based Access Control with Spoofing Detection and Automated Guest Check-In A computer-implemented access control system (100) for a cloud-hosted property management application intercepts authenticated API requests at a middleware component (1) prior to execution of application logic and evaluates accompanying geographic position data against eleven independently operable integrity rules through a signal integrity assessment engine (4). An access decision engine (5) denies access when the number of simultaneously active critical-class integrity flags meets or exceeds a predetermined threshold, irrespective of whether the reported coordinates satisfy the permitted distance threshold from the registered property. A session trust scoring component (10) further detects gradual spoofing strategies by maintaining a per-user trust score across the authenticated session, adjusted by weighted positive and negative signals. The system thereby defeats GPS spoofing applications through convergent multi-signal assessment spanning inter reading velocity, coordinate stasis, network-geographic correspondence, device motion variance, GPS altitude, device timezone offset, geomagnetic field variance, and barometric pressure consistency. A geofence-triggered automated check- in system (200) reuses the same geofencing infrastructure to detect physical arrival of a guest with a confirmed reservation and autonomously initiates room assignment and portal activation without front-desk interaction, restricting guest portal access to sessions in which both proximity and date-booking correspondence conditions are concurrently satisfied.
