The application for the patent was published on July 03, 2026, under issue no. 27/2026.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a system and method for automated assessment of the health risk of a packaged food product. The invention may include receiving an image depicting a nutritional information label, applying an optical character recognition process to extract a plurality of nutritional values, computing for each nutritional value a normalized value based on a predefined threshold, and computing a weighted contribution based on a predefined weight reflecting health significance. The weighted contributions may be aggregated and scaled to compute a harmfulness score within a bounded numerical range, and the harmfulness score may be output as an indicator of health risk. The system may include at least one processor and at least one memory storing instructions for performing said operations. Figure 1 is the representative figure.
