MUMBAI, India, Aug. 10 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611075200 A) filed by K. R. Mangalam University on June 17, 2026, for A System And Method For Multimodal Processing Of Patient Data To Generate Clinical Report Data.
Inventors include Dr. Satinder Pal Singh; Anurag Singh; and Dr. Shahid Ahmad Wani.
The application for the patent was published on July 31, 2026, under issue no. 31/2026.
Abstract: A computer-implemented system (100) and method for processing multimodal patient data are disclosed. A data integration hub (110) ingests and standardises medical imaging data, structured clinical data and free-text clinical records from heterogeneous sources. A vision engine (120), a clinical text engine (130) and a structured data engine (140) encode the respective modalities into embeddings, which a cross-attention transformer fusion core (150) fuses into a unified multimodal representation. A report generation module (160) generates structured clinical report data from the representation, and an explainable-artificial-intelligence module (170) generates associated explainability data comprising attention maps, feature-importance scores and confidence metrics. The report data and explainability data are output to a clinician dashboard (180) for review, the system being configured to assist and not to replace clinical decision-making. A corresponding method and computer-readable medium are also disclosed.
