MUMBAI, India, July 7 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202631073264 A) filed by National Institute Of Technology, Patna on June 12, 2026, for A System And Method For Multi-Scale Brain Tumor Classification Using Mri Images.
Inventors include Singh, Anshu; Singh, Maheshwari Prasad; and Singh, Amit Kumar.
The application for the patent was published on July 03, 2026, under issue no. 27/2026.
Abstract: The present invention provides a system (100) and method for multi-scale brain tumor classification using MRI images. An input module (101) processes MRI images to reduce computational and memory requirements. An image enhancement module (102) generate an enhanced image for subsequent tumor feature extraction. A primary feature extraction module (103) identifies initial tumor-relevant details. A parallel lightweight feature extraction module (104) captures fine local and broader contextual tumor patterns. A smart fusion module (105) combines these features, emphasizing tumor-relevant information. A multi-scale attention-based feature refinement module (106) further enhances diverse tumor patterns and boundaries while preserving structural identity. A deeper hierarchical analysis module (107) extracts high-level complex features and a global representation module (108) generates a compact image summary. The output module (109) computes tumor class probabilities, selects the most probable class. (
