MUMBAI, India, Nov. 2 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611111398 A) filed by Graphic Era Deemed To Be University on September 17, 2026, for A System And Method For Multi-Drone Crop Health And Soil Condition Monitoring Using Ai-Based Analysis In Agriculture.
Inventors include Vidhi Gahlot; and Dr. Vinay Kumar Jain.
The application for the patent was published on October 30, 2026, under issue no. 44/2026.
Abstract: The invention relates to precision agriculture, and more particularly to a system and method for monitoring crop health and soil conditions using a drone-enabled system with a drone or a plurality of drones flying above agricultural land. Each drone carries a camera and a sensor to capture high-quality and high-resolution images and live data about crop health or soil conditions, while wireless communication links coordinate multi-drone activities and a ground base station exchanges data and control instructions through signal transduction. An artificial intelligence based analytical pipeline including data collection, data preparation, feature or object recognition, machine learning, model training, model assessment, and deployed AI operational modules processes the acquired data to identify patterns and irregularities. The system supports decision-making for crop strain, irrigation requirement, pest attacks, disease-related issues, soil condition, planting, crop operation, and targeted application of fertilizers and pesticides.
